Disney on Ice
We went to see Disney on Ice this weekend. The performance was great but it was even more fun to see how much the boys enjoyed it.

Memory Lane Monday: Latvia
Thank you, Alison, for inspiring me to scan these pictures into our computer. This is just a little glimpse into an amazing trip I took with someone very special. The fellowship with friends & workers was the highlight but we enjoyed the sights of Riga as well. Where did the time go...it's been almost 7 years since that trip. I can't wait to take my family to Latvia someday. I enjoyed this walk down Memory Lane today & am looking forward to do this some more!
a flower stand - tulips were in bloom everywhere!
Enjoying red currant popsicles!

How does your garden grow?
Benjamin asks to help in the garden every day. Grandpa Ben would be proud of this little great-grandson. He loves his special gardening tools & is quite enthusiastic when it comes to digging & inspecting the plants. Benjamin is quite good with the water hose. Fortunately Trevin nor myself has gotten drenched yet! Maybe later on we'll let him cool us off, but for now it's nice to stay dry.
-What do our plants need to grow, Benjamin?
-Well, they need water, vitamins, sunshine, & chicken!
Hmm...I don't remember talking about chicken and gardening together. But maybe since we eat a lot of chicken (and we encourage him to eat his chicken/meal to grow) he thinks the plants need the same thing. So, we'll have to continue the garden lesson.

Bathtime
a daily dose of fun in the life of Trevin...
I love my little bathtub that fits into the regular bathtub. Mommy
I love my little bathtub that fits into the regular bathtub. Mommy
loads up my area with ducks and I enjoy watching them. However,
the only thing I do during my bath is splash, creating small tsunami's
for all my ducks. I splash with both arms & kick my feet. I get
water everywhere. I rarely smile during bath time, it's a serious task!
But at least I don't cry. After my bath, I'm all smiles in my cozy hooded
towel. I can't wait to join my big brother for bath time someday. He
may not appreciate all my splashing!

Finally Friday!
Well, Benjamin is thrilled that Friday is here. We are especially glad that Russell is back home again after a business trip to the coast. Someday we'll go with him!
Trevin is 7 months old now!!!! He is such a happy boy...and at the moment he doesn't seem to be teething. I have so much fun watching the boys play & interact. Because of their age difference I wasn't sure what to expect. Trevin is trying so hard to crawl in order to get his hands on Benjamin's toys. He can scoot himself in a circle & go backwards. The boys love to make faces at each other, laugh & giggle together. We enjoyed spending time with our Grandma this week. She sure can put Trevin to sleep! He just loves laying in her lap & rocking with her. I love this age - he is still so cuddly & loves to snuggle but can sit alone now & entertain himself better.

our joys
Life this week:
Everything is blooming - along with the beauty comes sniffles & sneezes. Trevin is teething & chewing on everything - more fussy at nights which means less sleep for me. Benjamin loves Saturdays and announced to me this week, "Mommy, I want it to be Saturday forever!" So, he's learning how to be patient & wait for Saturdays. We take the bad with the good & keep on going! All in all, life really is good.
