Father's Day 2012

Father's Day was a bit unusual for us this year. Russell was gone for nearly a week, so we didn't get to help him celebrate until several days after. However, Papa's birthday fell on Father's Day - so it was fun to have a double celebration in one day. I made my favorite - caramel apple pie - as Dad loves pie and apparently our boys do too!

2nd tooth

June 5th - Benjamin lost tooth #2. Russell helped him pull out tooth #1 a few months ago. However this time Benjamin surprised us and pulled it out himself!! I'm so proud of him.

Early Birthday for Malia

Sweet Malia had a little birthday party while in Texas. It was so fun to celebrate with her & watch her open her gifts. Trevin really got interested in singing Happy Birthday & now does this on a frequent basis whenever he feels it is time for a celebration.

finishing kindergarten

We've have great fun celebrating Benjamin's accomplishment...finishing kindergarten! One afternoon we got fresh, hot donuts from RRB to share with the cousins. Damion attended Benjamin's 'End of School' Party on his last day. We've been saving a few goodies for Benjamin too....a new beanbag chair for his room, flippers for snorkling & swimming, and a trophy (thanks to the Target $2 bin). Now we're planning to enjoy our summer to the fullest.

a beautiful wedding

Photos don't do justice to the beautiful setting of our cousin's wedding under the shade of huge East Texas trees. It was so special to be there, to hear their vows, witness the occasion, watch all the cousins & other little friends play together, & enjoy the evening together....nearly 10 years since Russell & I started our life together as husband & wife.

10 years!!

I love this picture of the 2 of us...taken at the Gaylord Hotel in Grapevine on Memorial Day. I can't believe it's been 10 years since our special wedding day. Looking forward to many more years with my wonderful husband. Happy Anniversary to us!
