Mother's Day 2015

I was showered with love, hugs & kisses for Mother's Day.  The boys made me feel so special & Trevin was quite fond of randomly giving me a mass of kisses...."just because it is your day, Mommy."  So, so sweet & I loved it so much.  I am just so grateful for these little lives entrusted to me & want to make the most of being their mother.  This time of the year is always one of joy & pain together.  We miss Grandma Jean so, so much.
Beautiful weekend weather to go out to the Oasis for dinner

On Sunday...Trevin loves wearing ties.  We don't have enough ties to coordinate with all his dress shirts, so this brown one has become the 'go to' tie.

Teacher Appreciation Week

We love Benjamin's 3rd grade teacher.  She is new to his Elementary School, however she has been teaching for 15 years.  She is enthusiastic & so kind.  Benjamin has had a great year because of her.  We are so thankful.  His teacher even attended one of his basketball games this winter.  She & her husband sat in the bleachers with us & cheered his team on.

She often tells her class at the end of the day to "Go out & scatter kindness."  I love that!
I ordered some fun zippered pouches from my cousin's etsy shop for his teacher.  They are unique, handmade & colorful!

Take a look, she has some great items for sale:

Our State Flower: Bluebonnets

Amy & I took a day trip with our littles (Malia & Trevin) to see something exciting:  fields & fields of bluebonnets along the riverbank in the beautiful hill country setting at Muleshoe Bend Park.  We were just in amazement of the sight.  The fragrance of all the bluebonnets was so strong & pulled us back to many childhood memories.  We've had good rain at various times this winter & spring making the bluebonnets more prolific & beautiful in over 5 years.  Looking at the pictures, I'm realizing that these just don't do justice to these amazing fields of bluebonnets.

Celebrating 30 years

We helped my cousin celebrate #30 at the end of March.  It was a fabulous spring day to enjoy sunshine, crawfish/shrimp, cake & good company.  These little cousins get along so well.

Yosemite National Park

These pictures in no way capture the immensity & beauty of this amazing place.  One fantastic aspect of this national park is being able to see these landmark structures from high above as well as from down below in the valley floor.  The perspectives are very different & no experience is complete without seeing this.  I loved witnessing the boys excitement in seeing this for the very first time.  We can't wait to go again.
