our little fireman
Today Trevin turns 3! We celebrated early, at Grandma's house, and his wish was granted....a firetruck cake. He didn't seem to care that the icing was melting, the decorations were falling off because of the 30+ minute car trip & heat, etc. So, I'm thankful he didn't care...because the cake didn't look so cute once we got there. Oh well, such is life. [Benjamin told me we could stick with donuts for his birthday - thank you, son...I don't need anymore stress related to falling apart birthday cakes]
It's a great day for me...he is nearly potty trained with very little help from me. No accidents up until now. We'll see if this is a new trend. I've been putting it off because of my work schedule lately. But I think we're at a turning point...

LEGOfest 2012
The boys had a blast at LEGOfest this weekend in Austin. Thankfully, Trevin was well enough to go & we all enjoyed getting out of the house & doing something fun! Our boys highly recommend this fun event if LEGOfest comes to your area.

little helper
Trevin...
-asks to do "sumwing helpsful" several times a day
-loves follow Benjamin around & do exactly what he's doing
-will tell you he's going to be 3 years old, but then quickly adds "no, 7"
-requests to see "Papa & Nanny", "Lana", & "Grandma Burnette" everyday
-is nearly potty trained - now that I've not been working so much, the boys have been sick. Someday we'll get with the program.
-likes visiting Marie & singing her songs at the nursing home
-loves to eat & thankfully isn't too picky
-is growing out of 3t clothes and I'm so sad there is one entire bin of clothes that he'll never get to wear these cute fall/winter outfits
-prefers a pencil over crayons so he can draw lots of curvy lines, swirls, etc very meticulously
-had his first bout of 'throwing up' ever - this week.
-misses Benjamin so much now that school has started
-learned to say "okee-dokie" from Hannah C.

I'm trying to prepare myself for the fact that our little guy will be turning 3 years old in 1 week!
