Our workers are gone on special mtg rounds and there are no official gospel meetings for the next month. However at any given moment in our house, Benjamin may be conducting gospel meeting by himself! The pictures tell the story, facial expressions describe what part of the meeting Benjamin is playing. I didn't get the part where he sits down on his nap mat and waits quietly for a few moments before popping up quickly to conclude the meeting. Yes, his microphone is the corner of the stand for our laundry bag.

Makenna turns 2!
Great fun for these 2 cousins as they ate together, played together, blew out birthday candles together. Opening birthday presents was rather dysfunctional. Benjamin was more interested in the ribbons & confetti than helping Makenna. He proceeded to show everyone he has his own version of an indian dance - high marching steps with wildly flailing arms, ribbon strands draping over his head, concluding with a purposeful fall & landing on his back, arms & legs spread out. The mystery remains in where he learned to do that. Makenna now has a new meeting backpack, some new meeting dresses, little horses & lots more.

Great Weekend
We DID have a great weekend, after all. Grandpa Larry decided to stay the whole weekend! And we had tons of fun. Here are various snapshots of Benjamin with Grandpa Larry (aka Pop Lair). The weather was great and we enjoyed supper by the lake, feeding ducks at the park, full day working at the conv grounds, and more.
Thanks for all the great comments on my last entry. I glad to know I'm not the only one with 'burning' problems!

Grandpa Larry
Tonight Grandpa Larry is flying down to see us all the way from Montana. We've worked real hard all week to prepare for his visit. I'm going to make a really good impression on him this time as I managed to start a fire in the oven tonight while baking several dishes of scalloped potatoes for lunch tomorrow (the conv. work project). Oh yes, the haze that fills the air will add such a special touch. And I'm sure the aroma will send him running back to catch the next flight home. It's a good thing we have a 2nd oven, otherwise I'd have to tell Russell that I'm can't cook for the rest of the weekend. On that note, maybe I shouldn't be cooking! Anyway, with the windows open and fans going - I think we'll survive. Hope you have a good weekend!
Another new hospital
We enjoyed the festivities of the grand opening of yet another hospital in Round Rock. Here are a few pictures of what Benjamin did... touring an ambulance, sitting in the Care Flight helicopter, then seeing it take off, stomping in some "snow", enjoying hot chocolate, hanging out with his little friends, getting some fun prizes, and more.

A thought for today
Four things to learn in life:
To think clearly without hurry or confusion,
To love everybody sincerely,
To act in everything with the highest motives,
To trust God unhesitatingly.
