Amy & I took a day trip with our littles (Malia & Trevin) to see something exciting: fields & fields of bluebonnets along the riverbank in the beautiful hill country setting at Muleshoe Bend Park. We were just in amazement of the sight. The fragrance of all the bluebonnets was so strong & pulled us back to many childhood memories. We've had good rain at various times this winter & spring making the bluebonnets more prolific & beautiful in over 5 years. Looking at the pictures, I'm realizing that these just don't do justice to these amazing fields of bluebonnets.

Celebrating 30 years
We helped my cousin celebrate #30 at the end of March. It was a fabulous spring day to enjoy sunshine, crawfish/shrimp, cake & good company. These little cousins get along so well.
Yosemite National Park
These pictures in no way capture the immensity & beauty of this amazing place. One fantastic aspect of this national park is being able to see these landmark structures from high above as well as from down below in the valley floor. The perspectives are very different & no experience is complete without seeing this. I loved witnessing the boys excitement in seeing this for the very first time. We can't wait to go again.

More from Lake Tahoe
The boys discovered the joy of rock climbing. They can attest that they are better climbers than their mother as I'm the only one that ended up with a wet shoe & a rather cold foot.

Checking the trap from the dock.
A quick game of frisbee golf was on the agenda before we left Monday morning.
