little helper

Trevin...
-asks to do "sumwing helpsful" several times a day
-loves follow Benjamin around & do exactly what he's doing
-will tell you he's going to be 3 years old, but then quickly adds "no, 7"
-requests to see "Papa & Nanny", "Lana", & "Grandma Burnette" everyday
-is nearly potty trained - now that I've not been working so much, the boys have been sick. Someday we'll get with the program.
-likes visiting Marie & singing her songs at the nursing home
-loves to eat & thankfully isn't too picky
-is growing out of 3t clothes and I'm so sad there is one entire bin of clothes that he'll never get to wear these cute fall/winter outfits
-prefers a pencil over crayons so he can draw lots of curvy lines, swirls, etc very meticulously
-had his first bout of 'throwing up' ever - this week.
-misses Benjamin so much now that school has started
-learned to say "okee-dokie" from Hannah C.

I'm trying to prepare myself for the fact that our little guy will be turning 3 years old in 1 week! 

Food, Food, Food!

In celebration of National Lemonade Day, I decided it was time to get this posted!

One of our favorite things to do with lemonade this summer is add it to the TAZO Iced Passion tea (1/2 and 1/2) over ice, add a 1 tbsp of passion fruit syrup. Stir, SIP & enjoy! hint: TAZO Passion tea can be purchased at Target. This is a wonderfully refreshing summer drink. When I'm feeling especially healthy I omit the syrup.

1st grade!

First Grade...we're off to a good start. Benjamin's two best friends are not in his class & this was such a disappointment to him. However his classmates are great & he's enjoying school.

and the summer fun continues

Summer continues to roll along & this weeek it is winding down. We had some happy days with big friends & little friends here.

Mommy: "Trevin, how old are you?"

Trevin: "Two"

Mommy: "How old are you going to be on your next birthday?"

Trevin: "I be six!!!!" (he is trying sooo hard to catch up to Benjamin)

Happy Birthday Russell!

Tricks & stunts are performed daily around here. I usually don't have my camera close by to catch "the moment", but I got lucky this day! We celebrated Russell's birthday early with friends & a luscious lemon cheesecake. So, instead of another dessert on his birthday, he opted for "takeout" sushi...which we enjoyed at home and it was wonderful!
