Things that make me smile:  huckleberry shakes, family trips, fireworks, & my wonderful husband

a time to say Goodbye

It is hard to put into words how special Jeannie's funeral was.  The workers' messages, hymns sung, thoughts shared in visits.  It was very comforting, softening, sobering, and heart-searching.

It was a beautiful day.

Visitation

Jeannie's visitation was filled with many sweet & touching visits about her life, her journey, her faithfulness.  Many traveled quite a distance to come for this time & it was touching that they had made the effort.  We met new friends & saw good ole pals.  It had only been 20 years since I had last seen Dana.  Oh my.  What a treasure to pick up where we had left off.  She is such an amazing friend.

Coeur d'Alene

It is hard to describe the beauty of Coeur d'Alene.  We were at this exact spot back in January when everything looked so magical covered in sparkling white snow.  This time we visited it was a crisp cool morning.  After a quick stop at the Grumpy Monkey for coffee, chocolate chip cookie (Trevin's request) & an egg sandwich (Benjamin's request), we ventured out for a quick hike while Russell took a conference call.  There is nothing like getting out & taking a hike!!
