This and That

Life is never dull around here. The subject of storytime this week was 'snakes'. Benjamin was first in line to touch/pet the library's pet boa. We immediately had to find this little snake in our crate of stuffed animals when we got home. It is now a favorite.

Benjamin started Suzuki violin lessons this month. I like their approach to teaching & Benjamin absolutely loves his teacher. His lessons are fun - exactly what they are supposed to be.

Benjamin has become quite intrigued with t-ball (Froggy plays T-Ball is one of our favorite books right now). He became creative with his accessories, using a cone to hold the ball. We'll soon be taking these things outside as his swing has become amazingly accurate & strong. "Watch out Mommy!"

San Antonio

This weekend we took a quick trip to San Antonio. We didn't have time to do too much, but we really enjoyed viewing the Alamo (at night), the Children's Museum, & a few walks along the Riverwalk.

Shopping at HEB! Hmm...he knew just how to do it (except he tried to unload the entire bin of carrots into his cart; I don't think he's seen me do that yet)

Cold Days

We had a snowman party last week since we didn't get out of the house too much. Benjamin loves his new snowman cup!

It's hard to see...but the fresh blueberry muffins were baked in a snowman/mitten tin.

Great Friends

Benjamin has been asking to play with Damion everyday since Damion left. We have great memories our fun times together.

What we've been doing...

Here we are again! It has been super duper fun having our family together the past little while. Benjamin & Damion get along like brothers - so incredibly loving towards each other and also bickering over the same toys at times. We will miss them terribly as they head back to the cold country tomorrow.

Goodbye '08, Hello '09

The days have been flying by and here we are...entering a new year already. We've had a grand time with Ryan, Amy & Damion the past 7 days. I'll post pictures soon.

Yes, we 3 did stay up to see the new year "in" with some of our best friends in RR. Benjamin was too busy playing to take notice of our countdown. We left shortly after our "breakfast at midnight" - with happy hearts & full tummys.

Here are some funny/cute things we've been hearing aroud here...
"Mommy, I needs some almums please." (almonds)
"I heard firetruck crackers in my bed last night" (fircrackers)
"My daddy is the best in the whole wide world."
Happy New Year to each of you!
